Take The Soul Journey

While it’s not a bestselling book, The Soul Journey is a fantastic edition to your search for spirituality. Based on four levels of focus, it provides a guiding light into yourself through e-mail coaching and an e-Book format. While many programs boast having the answers you seek, The Soul Journey does the opposite.

“The soul journey is not about information and knowledge… Instead it is about trust, intuition, self-healing, creativity, expression, and purpose,” says the website. It’s a program created to help users learn more about themselves and answer difficult questions to find out more about their own purpose.

The beauty of The Soul Journey is that you can do some of it for free—like I’ve been doing. By signing up for the bi-weekly email, Soul Perspectives, you’ll get a small lesson that includes some questions that are great for introspection in your journal. Some past topics have included hope, despair, and personality.

My most recent lesson was on leadership, and included exercises on gratitude and forgiveness. It included a short essay on synchronizing the head and the heart, creating harmony within our thoughts and feelings. In the essay, there were also gentle suggestions to make this happen, such as focusing on love and gratitude rather than negativity, getting rid of obstacles that may block us from our goals and enlightenment in general, and expressing our appreciation.

I highly recommend the free email program. I’ve been using it in conjunction with other programs (The Artist’s Way, The Life Organizer, etc.) in my journal and have found it to be a great supplemental spiritual program. I love to ponder in-depth questions like the ones presented there within my journal and my Morning Pages, and even if there’s not much time for that, the essays usually contain some insightful reading.

If you like that, you may want to try the program itself. It starts with its first level, “Know Yourself.” It’s a six-week program about—you guessed it—taking a deeper look into yourself and increasing your own positive attributes. Following that, there’s an eight-week session on exploring and healing your personality, an eight-week session on expressing soul consciousness, and a six-week session on the actual soul purpose.

Each session includes meditations, questions and guides just like with the email program, but in more depth, with a workbook format and the email coaching system. Once you subscribe (monthly or annually), there is also a special library section for members to access additional resources and materials.
